Mami's Love Language is a photo project whose protagonist is my mom. It's a collection of recipes and photos of each Peruvian dish I luckily grew up eating. Mami's cooking is a combination of her belief of being a good wife and mother whose role is to feed her family, and the love language she speaks. Once a week after work we get together in her kitchen as she cooks and recounts the process, and I photograph and type the recipe. We bond, we talk, we laugh, we eat. We're making memories. And as usual, she is loving me through her food.
